Homoeopaths look at all these aspects in order to treat the whole person. An initial consultation will take approximately 1½ hours and will cover your presenting complaint, that is what you need to be cured now. It will also include your medical history, food preferences, other likes and dislikes, your family history particularly any illnesses that run in the family and any concerns which you have about your health and treatment.

A follow up consultation will take ½ to ¾ of an hour and is to assess how you are now, what is the effect of the remedy and what is the next course of action in treatment. Between consultations you need to note any changes in symptoms and any new symptoms you experience.
